Common Questions

What are the Deals of the Day and why should I use them?

The deals of the day are about solving everyday needs. Offers that make it easier to take the family out to dinner at that cute new diner. Finally dry-clean your wedding dress. Or get your car detailed after last month's disastrous coffee run.

You'll be just as likely to find bucket-list deals too, for when you want to escape reality. But first, you have to tackle today. Our deals will help you live smarter, better, happier. So wake up every morning at dealbreak to enjoy fresh, thriftful splendor delivered right to your inbox.

How do I sign up to receive deals?

If by chance all of our Sign Up buttons happen to land smack dab on your blind spot, you also can subscribe here to receive deals in your city.

Will the Deal of the Day have special rules and restrictions?

We strive to keep the deals easy, breezy and uncomplicated. Once we launch and you start receiving deals, you should always check the "Terms to Note" section of the deal page for special rules or restrictions. Also check out our standard deal rules. All deals are subject to YELLOWPAGES.COM Terms and Conditions and Terms of Purchase.

Can you explain the whole "tipping" thing in regards to the Deal of the Day?

Sure. To make deals worth their while, some businesses would like a minimum number of buyers to commit to a deal first. Once a deal "tips" – when it passes the threshold for the minimum number of buyers – all the buyers can enjoy the deal. If you buy a deal that doesn't tip, you won't be charged.

Do I have to use the full value of my Deal of the Day voucher in one visit? Can I save some for later?

Unless otherwise specified, vouchers are good for one visit only. Most aren't keen on leftovers.

Once I purchase a deal will I be able to use it immediately?

As soon as your deal tips and has been paid for, it's all yours to gloat and swagger. You can redeem it as soon as you like. Just please check the "Terms to Note" on the deal for any possible restrictions, or if your deal is tied to a specific date. Also note if your deal is for a restaurant or other location that requires reservations, and plan ahead accordingly.

I have another discount for the same place as the deal I just purchased. Can I use both at the same time?

We are duly impressed with your thriftful mastery. Bravo. Just please note that using deal of the day vouchers in conjunction with other offers, coupons or discounts depends on your particular deal and the terms set by the business.

If I see a deal that would make a great gift, can I give it to someone?

We currently don't have an online gifting option. However, nothing's stopping you from giving your deal voucher to whomever you want. Nice box. Purty bow. Go for it!

My deal is for a restaurant. Will this include tax and tip?

Our restaurant Deals of the Day never include tax and tip. Please be a class act and tip on the full value of your deal. Your server will thank you – and not scowl at your oversight.

What can I do if something goes wrong with my purchase?

We surely hope nothing goes wrong, but we're here to help if it does. You can get in touch with us via our Contact Us page and explain your situation. We're all ears, eyes, noses.

What are the specific rules for getting credit from signing up to receive deal emails?

From time to time, to encourage deal-watchers everywhere, we may offer credit incentives for people to sign up to receive our Deal of the Day emails. If you subscribe during a period where a sign-up credit is offered, you will receive a credit in your account that can be used toward your first deal purchase. Any leftover credit in your account will be applied to your next purchase. One additional note: We’ll only give one sign-up credit per email address.

What are the specific rules for getting credit from referring friends?

Glad you asked. When you share deals with others, your altruism can add up. Referral credit is given when a friend clicks your unique link (generated only when you use the share functionality on the deal’s page) and then signs up and buys their first Deal of the Day on YP.com within 72 hours of clicking your link. Please note that your link must be the last one responsible for the purchase. So if someone were to click invite links from two friends, and then signed up and purchased deal of the day within that 72-hour timeframe, only the friend who sent the link that was last clicked would be given credit, not both friends.
